Dell Secure Pvt Ltd. are hereby bound to you for the benefits set out below, subject to the terms, definitions, exclusions and conditions specified below.
1. The Protection against Theft, Accidental Damage, Accidental Loss and Breakdown Cover, Liquid Damage
You are covered against the repair or replacement cost of Your Gadget in the event of theft, accidental loss, accidental damage or breakdown, mechanical breakdown, liquid damage (In 360 Protection plan)
- Territorial limits: means India, in which you must be a permanent resident. The cover is extended worldwide for a maximum of 31 days in any rolling period of 12 months starting from the commencement date of this protection plan.
- Theft/Stolen: means the unauthorized dishonest acquisition of the Gadget by another person with the intention of permanently depriving you of it.
- Unattended: means the phone is not secured and not visible by you or within a distance where you could reasonably intervene to prevent an incident.
- We, us, our and they means any of the claim’s administrator or Dell Secure Pvt Ltd .as applicable.
2. Definitions
The words or phrases described below shall have the following meaning wherever used in this protection plan contract document.
Accidental Damage means sudden and unforeseen accidental damage to Your Gadget which is not specifically excluded from this protection plan provided that such damage results in Your Gadget being unable or unsafe to function.
Accidental Loss means the unforeseen loss of Your Gadget by you, resulting in you being permanently deprived of its use.
Breakdown means the actual breaking, burning out or failure of any part of Your Gadget whilst in ordinary use arising from internal electronic, electrical or mechanical defects in the Gadget causing it to stop functioning and require repair before it can resume normal operation.
Excess means the amount you must pay towards the cost of each and every successful claim as stated in general exclusions within this protection plan document.
IMEI number means the international mobile equipment identity number which is the unique identification number that will be used to identify Your Gadget.
Limit of Liability means Dell Secure Pvt Ltd maximum liability for any one claim which shall not exceed the maximum repair or replacement value of Your Gadget at the time of replacement. Dell Secure Pvt Ltd has maximum total liability to you during any rolling period of 12 months from the commencement date of this Protection Plan. Upon acceptance of a claim, Dell Secure Pvt Ltd may at its discretion repair or replace Your Gadget. Replacement may be with a refurbished unit or a functionally equivalent product. If the claims administrator replaces Your Gadget, your original item becomes Dell Secure Pvt Ltd property and the replacement Gadget is your property, with coverage for that item continuing for the remaining period of protection plan.
Main Residence means your permanent place of residence within India.
Gadget means the single hand portable cellular telephone that is no more than 5 years old at the time of an incident and has a fully functioning SIM card.
Period of Coverage means the protection plan commences on the same date as specified upon receipt of your premium.
Proof of Phone Ownership means that in the event of a claim the claims administrator will request evidence that the Gadget is solely and currently used by you and that you can support ownership with proof of purchase or similar document. Where the purchase receipt is not available, we will consider your Gadget bill if it links your phone's IMEI and your details or other similar evidence of current phone usage supporting your ownership.
Public Places means any place to which people you do not know have access.

We, Us, Our and They means any of the claim’s administrator or Dell Secure Pvt Ltd as applicable.
3. Specific Theft and Accidental Loss Exclusions his Protection Plan does not cover.
- Any claim involving theft or accidental loss unless reported to the appropriate police authorities within 24 hours and Dell Secure Pvt Ltd.
- Theft of the Gadget from an unattended vehicle.
- Theft of a Gadget is left unattended in a public place or a place to which the public has regular access. (Negligence)
- Theft or Accidental loss of any additional equipment or accessories for your Gadget.
- Theft or Accidental loss of a SIM card other than in respect of a valid theft claim where your SIM card was stolen or lost with the Gadget.
4. Specific Accidental Damage and Breakdown Exclusions his Protection Plan does not cover
- Accidental damage to or breakdown of any additional equipment or accessories for your Gadget.
- Damage to or malfunction of the Gadget caused by or attributed to the operation of a software virus or any other software-based malfunction.
- Cosmetic damage, however, is caused to your Gadget, including marring, scratching, and denting that does not affect the functionality or safe use of your Gadget.
5. General Exclusions
You are not covered for.
- 10-20% excess in each and every claim.
- Any claim resulting from terrorism, war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, riot or civil commotion, terrorist activity of any kind.
- Any claim resulting from ionising radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel.
- Loss, damage or liability arising from pollution or contamination.
- Any damage deliberately caused by or arising from a criminal act committed by you, or by any other person living with you.
- Any Gadget older than 7 years at the time of the incident.
- Any accessories.
- Any costs incurred in connection with the installation, removal or subsequent relocation of Your Gadget.
- Any loss or damage or liability directly or indirectly occasioned by, happening through or in consequence of confiscation or nationalization or requisition or destruction of or damage to property by or under the order of any government or public or local authority.
- Any claim where the IMEI number cannot be determined.
- Any claim arising from abuse, misuse or neglect by you.
- Gadgets which have been confiscated, reclaimed or otherwise taken back by a valid authority or body.
- Any cost of reinstating downloads, ring tones, graphics, pictures, apps, music or any other content. It is highly recommended that you back up Your Gadget regularly to minimize any loss of information.
- Any claim for any loss, damage, liability or expense directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to, or arising from, the use or operation, as a means for inflicting harm, of any system, software programme malicious code, virus or process or any other electronic system.
6. Security Requirements
Security requirements for unattended vehicles Theft of the Gadget whilst in an unattended vehicle shall only be covered in the event that.
- The Gadget is completely hidden from the view.
- All doors, windows and other vehicle openings have been closed, fastened and securely locked.
- c. All security devices installed have been operated.
7. General Conditions
Fraud
If You make a fraudulent claim under this protection plan contract, Dell Secure Pvt Ltd.:
- Is not liable to pay the claim; and
- May recover from you any sums paid by Dell Secure Pvt Ltd. to you in respect of the claim; and
- May advise you that the contract has been terminated with effect from the time of the fraudulent act.
Dell Secure Private Ltd. shall not be liable in respect of a relevant event occurring after the time of the fraudulent act. A relevant event is an occurrence which gives rise to Dell Secure Private Ltd. liability under the protection plan contract (such as the occurrence of a loss, the making of a claim, or the notification of a potential claim); and Dell Secure Private Ltd. need not return any of the premiums you have paid.
8. Tenure of Protection Plan
The coverage option of 1 Year to 5 Years is available in which commences on the date of payment made
9. Repair Warranty
Repair warranty provided from Dell Secure Private Ltd For one year from the date of repair
10. Device Age
- For 360 Shield-Cover all Risk (Plan 1) 2 years from the date of purchase of new mobile
- For Cracked Screen & display cover (Plan 2) Lifelong cover
- Extended Warranty Plan (Plan 3) Lifelong cover
In case of bundle plan of 3-5 years of 360 ShieldCover all Risk (Plan 1) its covered till the expiry of the policy
11. Renewals
Lifelong renewal provided by Dell Secure Pvt Ltd For Cracked Screen & display cover (Plan 2) & Extended Warranty Plan (Plan 3) For 360 ShieldCover all Risk (Plan 1) Coverage up to 2 years
In case of bundle plan of 3-5 years of 360 ShieldCover all Risk (Plan 1) its covered till the expiry of the policy
12. No Claim Bonus
No claim bonus Is applicable in case of no claim lodged
- 1st Year: - 5% discount
- 2nd Year - 10% discount
- 3rd Year - 15% discount
- 4th Year: - 20% discount
- 5th Year- 22% discount
13. Limit of Liability
Unlimited claims & incidence cover during the tenure of protection plan without upper limit of SI (Except theft and Total damage claims)
14. Claims Procedure
You should notify the claims administrator on Toll free or email Support@dellsecure.in as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 15 days of the claim incident occurring.
Please comply with the following procedures to obtain authorization with the minimum delay. Failure to observe these procedures will invalidate your claim
Theft and Accidental Loss Claims
• You must notify the appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discovery of the incident and obtain a FIR •Theft or loss of Your Gadget must be reported to Dell Secure Pvt Ltd. Within 24 days or as soon as possible after the incident to place a bar on the Gadget.
Accidental Damage and Breakdown Claims
You must keep all parts of your Gadget, after intimation of loss, the incidence of claim along with photos need to upload on our website www.dellsecure.in, in 24 hours after acceptance of loss we pick up your device
•Before sending your damaged Gadget please ensure that you have removed any personal information, saved any documents that you may want to keep or transfer and have unlocked the device so that our Claims Technicians can investigate the damage. If the damage is significant and you are unable to remove any password control or locking, please advise the claims administrator
Before repair we share the estimate with deductibles you need to pay, one received confirmation from you we may procced for repair & collect the
Replacement Equipment
This is not a new for old protection plan. If your claim is authorized and your Gadget is considered, by the claim’s administrator, to be beyond economical repair, we will replace it with a fully refurbished or new Gadget at our discretion. We will endeavor to replace Your Gadget with the same make, model and color however this may not always be possible. If the exact make, model or colour is not available or economical a Gadget of a different colour, comparable specification or equivalent value will be provided
If your claim was for theft or loss of your original Gadget and it is recovered after a replacement has been provided, the original Gadget must be returned to the Administrator as this is our property. If the original equipment is not sent to us upon request, you will be invoiced for the replacement.
If a claim form is issued by the claim’s administrator, you should complete the form fully and return it to the claims administrators within 30 days of the claim incident, or as soon as reasonably possible, together with any requested supporting documentation including:
- Details of the payment method for the excess which will be collected once your claim has been validated.
- Police crime reference number (where the incident is theft).
- Loss reference number (where the incident is loss).
- Proof of ownership (including IMEI number).
- Any other requested documentation.
The claims administrator will assess your claim, and providing your claim is valid, will arrange for the repair or replacement of the Gadget as appropriate

We may use the personal data we hold about you for the purposes of providing protection plan, handling claims and any other related purposes (this may include underwriting decisions made via automated means), for offering renewal, research or statistical purposes and to provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you. We will also use your data to safeguard against fraud and money laundering and to meet our general legal or regulatory obligations.
3. Your Rights
You have the right to ask us not to process your data for marketing purposes, to see a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have your data deleted (subject to certain exemptions), to have any inaccurate or misleading data corrected or deleted, to restrict the processing of your data, to ask us to provide a copy of your data to any controller and to lodge a complaint with the local data protection authority.
4. Retention
Your data will not be retained for longer than is necessary and will be managed in accordance with our data retention policy. In most cases the retention period will be for a period of five (5) years following the expiry of the Protection plan contract, or our business relationship with you, unless we are required to retain the data for a longer period due to business, legal or regulatory requirements.
16. Sensitive Personal Data
Some of the personal information, such as information relating to health or criminal convictions, may be required by us for the specific purposes of underwriting or as part of the claims handling process. The provision of such data is conditional for us to be able to provide protection plan or manage a claim. Such data will only be used for the specific purposes set out in our notice.
17. Disclosure Of Your Personal Data
We may disclosure your personal data to third parties involved in providing products or services to us, or to service providers who perform services on our behalf. These include our group companies, affinity partners, brokers, agents, third party administrators, other intermediaries, bureaus, credit agencies, medical service providers, fraud detection agencies, loss adjusters, external law firms, external accountants and auditors, regulatory authorities, and as may be required by law.
17. Complaints Procedure
It is always the intention to provide you with a first-class service.
Claim process issues
If you are not happy with any part of the claim process, please contact the claims administrator on toll free no email support@dellsecure.in They will reply within 24 hours of receiving your complaint to inform you of what action they are taking. They will try to resolve the problem and give you an answer within a week
Alternatively, at any stage, you may have the right to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service as described above.
